Norman trained and qualified through the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in the United Kingdom.

Most of his working life has been in the health field, first in Environmental Health and then in Preventive Medicine, with one of the world's largest oil producers. 

He holds the Advanced Diploma in Hypno-psychotherapy of the National College of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, and was the first person to obtain their Diploma in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. 

 Norman is a Registered Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, and is one of only six holders of the European Certificate in Psychotherapy in Spain.

He is a partner in a busy counselling, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy practice, a regular newspaper on mental health issues, an ezine author, and a Mental Health Expert on probably the biggest paid answer site on the Internet.

An eclectic therapist, he will use whatever therapeutic approach is right for the client, drawing on Cognitive-behavioural, Gestalt or Person-centred techniques as necessary. He has also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy, rational emotive therapy and neuro-linguistic programming.
